There was this beautiful lady on a scooty.

First, I thought her bike didn't have the rear-view mirrors. But, the fact was she too naive to use them. While riding she gave those occasional innocent back glances in a hurry. She looked sad when the traffic slowed down, lifed the visor and looked ahead for any signs of the traffic clearing, breathed a heavy sigh and then glanced back at me lost in her! and then accelerated-buuuurrrrr into the traffic.

And I obediently accelerated behind her like her wing rider, shielding her from the speeding-evil sumos, trucks and buses.

Damn! She rode at 70kmph. It was hard to keep up with such a suddenly-braking-scooty at such high speeds. In between, I rode past her, to clear the blocking bus/truck/car and then slowing down, waiting to get back on her wing.

I switched to high-beams and I could see the worried looks and dark starry eyes. Her eyes twitched in the bright light. She was staring at the mirror, probably cursing me for causing the irritation. I slided to left and switched back to low-beams, her eyes on the road was safer for both of us than our eyes starting at each other in the rear-view mirror. She was not a hot chick or as a matter of fact not even a chick. Yet she was beautiful. I loved her innocent looks and the way she leaned forward hoping her scooty would speed like a MotoGP bike.

She sped and I followed, with a gleam in an eye and another on the scooty.
Soon, I had to part, had to turn away from the highway.
I turned with pain in the heart and sweet memories to stay forever.

PS: The lady in hurry on the scooty, if you ever read this - Please get proper driving lessons from people like me or atleast ask for lift. Single bike riders like me would always oblige :P And scooty is certainly not a bike for the highways.
