Today, during the early hours of morning(around 8AM) while i was returning from Vashi, after being there in the hospital the night before, in the local train.
I was lucky enough, to get a seat to sit, but unlucky enough to have medco 'nerd' sitting in front of me. He was reading the book - 'Clinical Surgery - 6th Edition by S.Das M.B.B.S(i wondered who the hell was this author)'(i actually saw the name of the book later). And still more co-incidentally i had been reading a book called 'Doctors' by Eric Segal. So, i had learnt a lot abt a
medical student's life in a college.
This medco 'nerd' was too involved in the book. This part of students reading in their way to the college or their school is a common sight in the mumbai locals during the early hours of the morning. But this guy was beyond a certain degree of being a 'nerd'. Lemme describe his get-up first. He was wearing a full sleeves shirt buttoned from neck to the wrist, neatly tucked into a pant, that was similar in shade to the shirt. And wore shoes that are about to wear out soon. This guy didn't even have time to tie his laceses properly. Had a bag in his lap and book to which his eyes were guled to da book.
N ha!! this was had the regular feature - glasses of huge power(probably something around -4 or -5,in the general terminology of describing the power of glasses)
I was scanning him head to toe for more features of a 'nerd'(i actually like this kind of people.....they are a large source of timepass). Then suddenly, this guy jumped on his feet, thorwing away the bag in his lap, onto the seat, and sprang towards the other part of the compartment, searching for something. I could figure of initially what made this guy jump like that. He could not find what he was looking for and returned to his seat a bit delected, flipped over a few pages and closed the book and put it back into his bag. I then figured it out that probably this guy was looking out someone of his species to getsome of his doubts cleared.(Bullshit!!! why do these people get doubts). Later pulled out a bottle of water from his bag(which was relatively too small, compared to the ones which are usually found wid these kinda people), and had a few gulps. I peeked into his bag to find a white coat and a sethoscope(Dammit!! i can't even spell this word). And a few more books.
As the station approached, he got up and went towards the door. I still kept wondering how do these guys become doctors.
Later, back home i tend to forget everything tht i always question. But, i like to question everything around me. practically everything. M jus fed up with the way many things that go around me.
But as of now, all i am concerned about is my future, my family and my best friend.
